Double nominations for the EU Prize – Mies Award 2015

The European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award is one of the most important and prestigious prizes for architecture within Europe, awarded every second year. RRA has previously been nominated for Østfold University College (2007) and Trollstigen National Tourist Route (2011 and 2013). Now, for the third consecutive time, we have been nominated for the 2015 award – this year with two new projects!

First, we are pleased to see such a degree of interest and recognition for a project which is not yet entirely completed. More than four years in the making, the Community Church Knarvik will be inaugurated at the end of November. And that with a nomination for the "Mies-award" already in the bag!

Last, and probably least (in size) of any nomination to this award ever, the Micro Cluster Cabins have flourished in social media and architectural blogs since it was first published late October. Luckily, the prize website states that "the nominated works are not limited by scale or programme".
